Mary Katherine Laub (Kathy) of Lawrence, KS passed away on May 18, 2026 surrounded by her family. Kathy was born October 6, 1946 in Leavenworth, KS to her parents Ruth and Raymond Baugher. Kathy was a loving and compassionate person who enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and was an avid Cowboys and Chiefs football fan. She would often be seen wearing her Chief’s gear ready for the game and on days where both the Cowboys and the Chiefs played, her outfit was split in half. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Raymond, her husband Jim, and her brother David. She is lovingly remembered by her three children and their spouses, Michelle and Joseph Fridlington (Lenexa, KS), Shanna Laub (Gladstone, MO), Brian Laub (Kansas City, KS), her seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are managed through Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth and the visitation and funeral will be at the Chapel.

Visitation: May 26th, 2026 from 12:00-1:00.

Funeral: May 26th, 2026 from 1:00-2:00, with graveside service at 2:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to be made to First Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence where Kathy was a beloved member.
