MARY E. OGLESBY

Mary Ellen Oglesby of Leavenworth, went to be with Our Lord on July 15, 2024. She was78
She was born on February 27, 1946 in Rockport, Missouri. She was the daughter of Oscar and Betty Fahseler Huff. They both preceded her in death in 1985. She was the Eldest of 9 Children.
She grew up in a rural community and attended the local Schools there in Rockport until her family moved to Leavenworth. She Later Received her G.E.D. She married Pleaz J. Oglesby Sr. on October 5, 1968. He preceded her in death On April 30, 1992.
She worked as a Store Clerk at the Shop Rite Grocery Store and the Salvation Army Thrift Store. She worked at the Ft. Leavenworth Transportation Motor Pool as a Taxi Driver and Bus Driver from 1983 to 1991. She later drove a Special Ed School Bus for Easton Bus Service from 1992 to 1997 when health issues forced her into early retirement.
She is survived by three sons. James Huff, of the home, Johnny Davis and Thomas Oglesby (Tim) all of Leavenworth. A Stepson, Bruce Krueger of Sullivan, Wisconsin. Three daughters. Brenda Marks (Gary) of Tonganoxie, Linda Nussbaum (Ray) of Olathe, and Glenda Oglesby, of Leavenworth. Two Adopted Daughters. Betty Huff-Oglesby of Hartford, KS and Bobbi Huff-Oglesby of Lansing. Three Sisters. Janet Reed, Beverly Eaton, both of Leavenworth, and Cherie Huff of Easton, KS. 15 Grandchildren, 41 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents. Two Brothers. Tommy Huff and David Huff. Three Sisters. Virginia Cozadd, Rebecca Eaton and Patricia Gates. Visitation will be Sunday July 21, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St. Leavenworth, KS. Services will be at the Chapel Monday July 22, 2024 at 11am. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 16731 Springdale Road, Leavenworth, Kansas.
