Mary Lou Scott, Leavenworth, passed away July 8, 2021.  She was born Sept. 1, 1941 to Clinton and Goldie Simmons.  When she became ill in April and was told she was terminal she chose not to be sad, but rather rejoiced in the fact that she would soon be reunited with her son, John Thomas Scott, who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Saldivar (Joe) and Helen Gauger (Ed), whom she treasured.  She cautioned them to not spend money on a funeral but to rather plant a perennial in their gardens so that they could think of her each Spring when it bloomed.  She is survived by six grandchildren and fourteen (plus one on the way) great grandchildren.  There will be a private celebration of life at her daughter's home.  Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
