Mary Lois Stalder, fondly referred to as Maryl, fell asleep in death on Thursday September 19, 2025, at Anew Care Center in Easton, Kansas after a lengthy battle with vascular dementia. She was 87 years old.

Maryl was born June 18, 1938, to Elmer Newman and Ethel Gladys Pope Mulvaney in Winchester, Kansas, she was the eldest of two daughters and third child of six children born to the Mulvaney's.

She grew up in Winchester, Kansas on the Mulvaney farm. At age 10 she dedicated her life through baptism to Jehovah. At age 16 she entered Kansas University, while at KU she studied Liberal Arts and worked part-time as a campus police officer. Maryl went on to apply her skills to many jobs, including working at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery and serving as a Sears & Robuck Retail Store Manager where she worked and retired from after 30 years.

Maryl's parents Elmer N. and Ethel G. Mulvaney preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Stalder (married 33 years) daughter Royce Horton, and her great-granddaughter Abigale Nicole Loyd, and brothers Charles, Roy, and James Mulvaney.

Maryl is survived by her sister Patricia Bowers of Kansas City, Missouri, and her brother, John Mulvaney of North Carolina.

Maryl leaves four daughters Robin Wilkinson of Lawton, Oklahoma, Renée Aguilar of Anchorage, Alaska and Rosalee Knight of Lansing, Kansas, and Sari (Richard) Tierney of Mississippi, her grandchildren, Shephela and Jonathan Loyd, Maryl, Chris, and Danielle

Little, Timothy Aaron Aguilar, Willa (Leo) , Edward Jr. (Nicole), Chris and Cassandra Knight, Makayla and Jackson (Danielle), Ford, Maurice Horton Jr., JJ and Robert Taylor Gray, and Aries Horton Sparks (Justin), and Robert Irby and Kristen Irby Burrall (Ted)

and 39 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren two more great grandchildren, Nick and DeLaura, completed Maryl's family as she reached out by making them her own and enjoyed having children at this time in her life.

Maryl also leaves behind many spiritual brothers, sisters, and friends. During her life Maryl was a member of Leavenworth, Kansas Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, the Springfield, Missouri Congregation, and the Redbridge, Missouri Congregation. She remained faithful to her creator for over 77 years. Her desire was to always share her belief with others; this she continued to do until her death.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11:30 AM Monday September 29, 2025, at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St. Leavenworth, KS Leavenworth, followed by the funeral service at 11:30 AM. Grave side service and burial will follow at the Easton, Kansas Cemetery.
