Melba D. Ward, 81, of Leavenworth, KS passed away Friday, April 21, 2023.

Melba was born on August 11, 1941 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Charles and Hazel Scharer.

Melba worked at Hallmark for many years then retired from there.

Melba was preceded in death by Larry L. Ward and her son, Larry Jr. ( infant).

Melba is survived by her children:   Shari L. Caddell (Mark), Paula D. Ward (Jesse), Alfred Raymond Ward II, grandchildren:  Justin, Clarence, Andrew, Aaron, Marcus, Elleah, Ray, Nolan, Madison, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM at Davis Funeral Chapel.   Funeral service will follow at 11AM at the funeral chapel.  Burial will be held at 12:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
