On Monday, October 19, 2020, Melissa E. Foley Garrison passed away in her Kansas City, Missouri home. She was 78 years old.

Born on August 30, 1942 in Fulton, Missouri to David and Wanda McDonald, Melissa loved traveling and working an art business with her husband, Glenn Garrison of Kansas City, Missouri. She adored nature and plants, spending time with her family and pets, and shopping for the best deal.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Glenn, two daughters, Linda (Howard) McBride of Basehor, Kansas and Karen Shipman of Kansas City, Kansas, five grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Boeschen, Jake McBride, Britney (Eric) Haines, Taner Shipman, and Cole Shipman, three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Alexis, and Jackson, and her loving sister Peggy (Frank) Sutherland of Mahtomedi, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim Foley, and her brother and sister, David and Katherine McDonald.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 from 6-8pm at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Kansas. Burial services will be planned later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of her memory be made to the National Wildlife Society ( https://wildlife.org/donate/ ).
