Memphis Marie
Jordan
Jan 8, 1990 — Oct 11, 2026
Leavenworth, Kansas
Memphis Marie Jordan, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 36. She was born on January 8, 1990, in Bethesda, Maryland, and will be remembered for the bright, spirited way she moved through the world and for the love she gave so freely to those around her.
A 2008 graduate of Leavenworth High School, Memphis was known as a wonderful, outgoing person who could talk with anyone. She had a true spitfire spirit, paired with a loving and caring heart that drew people to her. She was always rooting for the underdogs, offering encouragement, kindness, and understanding in ways that made others feel seen and valued.
Memphis found joy in the things that reflected both her personality and her faith. She enjoyed horror movies, had a fondness for tattoos, and loved collecting Christian pictures and collectibles. Reading her Bible was also an important part of her life, and those who knew her understood the comfort, strength, and meaning she found there.
She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply. Memphis is survived by her mother and father, Paula and Chris Jordan; her brother, Jaz Jordan, and his wife, Kat; and her nephews, Jett and Wayde Jordan. She is also survived by her grandmothers, Sharon Nelson and Julia Hinkle; her 3 uncles, Eugine Smith, Wayne Jordan, and Ian Hinkle; her aunts, Tracy Guthrie and Marca Ocasio; and by numerous cousins and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth, conversation, and caring nature. She also leaves behind her caretaker and best friend Rebecca Hurst.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Eugine Smith and Wayne Jordan; her aunt, Dianna Smith; and her cousin, Megan Ocasio.
Memphis Marie Jordan will be remembered for her lively spirit, her compassion, her strong sense of loyalty to others, and the way she made room in her heart for people who needed it most. Her memory will continue to live on in the love of her family and friends, and in the many moments of laughter, comfort, and connection they shared with her.
