Michael Wasserman, born October 1964, to Jean and Rosemary Wasserman, passed away on May 10th, 2024, after a prolonged illness.

He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Brian.

Mike is survived by his Mother, Brothers Bob and Jim Wasserman, and Sisters Lisa Courter (Steve), Tina Nessmith (Frank), Barbara Knapp (Dave) and Sharon Bell (Rick) as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Mike graduated from Lansing High School and attended vocational technical school in Leavenworth. His passion for racing, and skill at engine building, was a driver throughout his life. He was well known in the Kansas City area for his expertise at building racing engines.

Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding his Harley, reading, and watching Chiefs games. His demeanor was often quiet, but he had strong opinions and his wry sense of humor always shone through. We will miss him terribly.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 am at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth on May 17th.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Lansing Kansas.
