Milton Eugene Myracle, Sr. (Gene), passed away on December 20, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.

Gene was born on January 4, 1943 to Louise Nellie and Jessie James Myracle. On January 14, 1962 he married Janice Marie Myracle who proceeded Gene in death in 2018; they were married for 56 years.
As a member of the Army National Guard, Gene served our country from August 7, 1961 until he was Honorable Discharged on October 31, 1968.
Gene was skilled in construction and maintenance which lead to a 30-year career at the Lansing Correctional Facility. He began working in the maintenance department in 1980 and retired as the Director of Maintenance in 2010.
Gene enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. His love for the outdoors has been passed down to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gene is survived by his four children. Teresa Kraft and husband Dale, Basehor, KS; Tresa Myracle and husband Kevin, Kansas City, KS; Traci Dockery and her husband Brian, Lansing, KS; Milton"Gene" Myracle Jr. and his wife Lesley, Basehor, KS. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include a sister Barbara Ailene Alexander, a brother Ellis Myracle and wife Barbara, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 17, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the City Park in Basehor, KS. The Basehor City Park is located at 15940 Leavenworth Road, Basehor, KS.
