Norma Bray passed away on November 21st, 2022, at the age of 96. She resided at Twin Oaks Assisted Living facility, Lansing, KS, following a long illness with her heart.
Norma was born Jan. 7th, 1926, in Fredonia, KS. Her parents were Kermit and Jennie Hoover. Siblings were Wendall, Priscilla, Alex, and Danny Hoover.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Bray and grandson Stevie Bray, and her brothers Wendall and Danny Hoover. She is survived by daughter Marcia McClarrinon and son Steven Bray, and their spouses, Steve McClarrinon  and Raenae Bray. Surviving grandchildren are Jason McClarrinon and his wife Candice, Amy L. Peer and spouse Howard Peer and Travis Bray, spouse, Daintha Bray. Great grandchildren are Tyler and Garrett McClarrinon, and Jacob, with one great-grandson on the way, Chase Alan Bray. Her step great grandchildren include Raven Peer, Bill and Maddi Dick, Eduardo, Alex, and Martin Soto.
Norma taught kdg, and 2nd grades in Leavenworth for 28 years. In retirement she enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, watching the Kansas JAYHAWKS basketball team. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Kansas Education Association. Norma loved telling Bible stories to the children at services on Sunday. She loved her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, KS. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 9th, from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Fredonia, KS.
Donations will be accepted for the American Heart Association.
