Norman F. McLeod, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. Norman was born on April 23, 1937, in Sumter, SC. He attended Hillcrest High School in 1955 & The Citadel where he graduated in 1959. Norman was commissioned into the US Army where he accomplished the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served 25 years achieving honors of Expert Infantry Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with Second Leaf Cluster & Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. On May 21, 1966, Norman married the love of his life, Sarah Dawson McLeod after meeting through a mutual friend. Norman was a long-time member of the Leavenworth Lions Club, Leavenworth/Lansing Chamber of Commerce, MOAA, OB's Club and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Norman was a member of the Freemason for 50 years. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Jay Frank McLeod and Susan Augusta (Thompson) McLeod.  He is survived by his wife Sarah, 2 children Mark (Karen) McLeod, and Elizabeth (Cliff) Mullen, and Derek Fuller, Regan, Madeline, and Clifford Mullen IV, his 4 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Paul Episcopal Church or the American Diabetes Association.  The visitation will be at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth on June 27th from 6-8PM. Funeral Service will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Leavenworth on June 28th, 2023 at 9:30AM. The burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery on June 28th, 2023 at 11AM. Lunch will be served at St. Paul's Parish House after the burial. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
