Patricia M. (Patty) Crook

Patricia Crook, 90, of Leavenworth, KS passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Parkway Care and Rehab Facility, Edwardsville, KS.
Patty was born July 27, 1934 to Alfred James and Josephine (McCormick) Wood. She enjoyed a long and fruitful marriage to her beloved Lawrence E. (Ed) Crook of over 54 years. He survives of the home.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James D. Wood, and four children, Jayne Edmonds, Jeffery Whalen, Richard Crook, and Joseph Whalen.
She is survived by three children, James (Wynema) Whalen, Fleming, MO, Vicky (Doug) Evert, Leslie, MI, and Tracy Dugger (Loren), Leavenworth, KS, 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of extended family that knew her as "Grandma."
Patty loved animals; cats, horses, dogs (especially strays, it seemed) as well as going to "sales" of all kinds. She was very creative having worked as an illustrator (Hallmark) and florist (Leavenworth Floral) for a time. Also, she loved to to read, and write, stories; when she wasn't redecorating her house. Her Holiday decorating was always epic.
Patty was a Christian and loved exploring the Scriptures for answers to everyday mysteries.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hope Inc. Spay and Neuter Clinic, Leavenworth, KS.

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The funeral will follow at 1 P.M. at Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Easton Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Animal Clinic. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
