Patrick J. Simpson, 75, Leavenworth, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, after suffering a heart attack.

Patrick was born on January 21, 1948, to Luther and Wilma Simpson in Leavenworth, Kansas and graduated in Coffeeville, Kansas.

Patrick worked in the maintenance department at Fort Leavenworth from 1982 to 1984. Patrick, then was employed at the Kansas State Penitentiary, and retired in 2002 as Sargent. He then went to work for Homeland Security until 2010. Patrick fully retired in 2018 after working for Walmart for eight years.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Wilma Simpson, a brother Mike Simpson, two sons, Patrick J. Simpson, Jr. and Jason Patrick Simpson.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Ginger Simpson, a son Scott Simpson, two daughters, Laura Simpson and Shellie Bollin, three granddaughters, Christina Roberts, Erica Simpson and Izabel Ruch, two grandsons, Casey Simpson and Christopher Ruch and one great granddaughter Brooklynn Roberts,
