Paul Eugene Roche, 76, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away September 19, 2021.
Paul was born on December 27,1944 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ambrose and Ida Mae Roche. He was one
of six children.
On November 4,1967 he married C. Susan (Sue) Reynolds in Leavenworth, Kansas at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church.
Paul graduated from Stuart High School in Stuart, Iowa. After graduation he joined the United States
Army. He received an honorable discharge from active military and then served in the Reserves and the
Army National Guard retiring after 27 years of service.
Paul resided in Stuart, Iowa during his youth and later made Leavenworth, Kansas his home.
He was a loyal fan of the Royals, Chiefs, and Jayhawks and enjoyed muscle cars and racing. Grandpa
cherished and absolutely loved his grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and spending time with all of his
family, not wanting to miss any event.
He was a devoted Catholic.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents. Uncle Orville (Reynolds), Tom Reynolds, Clint Owens, Donald
Bucher and Linda McDowell.
He is survived by his wife. Sue Roche, of the home, daughter, Melissa (Brian) Teeters, grandchildren,
Taylor (Larissa) Teeters and Ravyn (Dustin) Ahart, and great- grandchildren Georgia Mae Teeters,
Graylinn Eleanor and Atticus Steele Ahart, others whom he loved, Shanda Wieburg-Cooper, Phoebe
Dobbs and Corinne Swartz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff at the Leavenworth VA, Leavenworth EMS, St. John's Hospital (RN
Heather) and especially Rayla, Tim and Deb his special caregivers.
Paul will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
