Richard W. Kopp, Sr., 89, Leavenworth, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022.  He was born to John and Roseda (Bauer) Kopp, on October 1, 1932, in Leavenworth, KS.

After graduating from Leavenworth High School, Dick married Esther Althaber on June 24, 1952. Dick and Esther had three children, Deborah, Richard Jr., and Michael. Dick loved coaching the children's sports and was instrumental in starting a little league football team.

He started his career at Gould Battery Factory with a entry level job to retiring in a management position. After retiring he enjoyed wood working, playing cards with friends, bowling, golfing and about any sport, especially watching the KC Royals and KC Chiefs.

Dick is survived by his three children, Deborah "Debby" Kopp-Gregory, Richard (Linda) Kopp, Jr. and Michael "Mike" Kopp, seven grandchildren, seven great children and several great great children.

Dick was proceeded in death by his wife, Esther, parents and a brother, John Kopp.

Funeral service will 11 A.M., Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Allen Olhstien officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
