Robert Edward Atwell, 91, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Leavenworth, KS. Born on December 11, 1933, Bob lived a life marked by his passions for hunting, fishing, and trap shooting, which brought joy not only to him but also to those who joined him in these pursuits.
Bob was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Leavenworth, where he found a community of faith that supported him throughout his life. He was Associate Pastor At FUMC for many years and Pastor at United Methodist churches in Golden City, MO, in Worden, KS and in Lansing, KS.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Joan; his children, Rob, Karen J. Atkinson, Chuck and Jim, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob's presence and guidance will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He was a Red Cross volunteer and blood donor and went to several hurricane afflicted areas, helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity in Leavenworth, and went on Mission trips to India and Mexico. He could always be counted on when asked for help.

Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church in Leavenworth, KS from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.  Service will follow at 11 A.M.
