Robert J. Seute of College Station, Texas, formerly from Leavenworth, Kan., went home to his Lord on July 30, 2023, with his family by his side.

He was a successful farmer, but his first love was caring for the livestock. In 1966, Robert became a toll-taker at the Leavenworth Centennial Bridge. The toll was removed in 1977, at that time Robert was chief toll-taker.

Robert married the love of his life, Miriam Schwinn on July 11, 1982. When he was 100 years old, he moved to College Station to be near his sister (Ruth Seute Hibbs) and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Miriam, and parents Otto and Eva Seute. He is survived by his sister - Ruth Hibbs, niece - Peggy Parnell and husband Calvin, great-niece - Sarah Molloy and husband John as well as their children Matt (21) and Megan (18). He is also survived by his great-nephew - Chris Parnell and wife Laura and their children Michael (22) and Daniel (20).

Funeral services will be Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Easton. Visitation at Davis Funeral Chapel Thursday, August 24 from 5 - 7 p.m.
