Ronald Lee Milbourn,84, passed away Friday September, 27, 2024 at Twin Oaks Skilled Nursing in Lansing, KS. Ron was born on March 31, 1940 in Industrial City, Mo to Jewel Delbert Milbourn and Zelma Mae (Roberts) Milbourn of St Joseph Mo. Ron was a 1958 graduate of Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth, Ks. Ron worked at the Leavenworth VA, Wrights Liquor Store, Ft Leavenworth Warehouse, Ed Larkin Consolidated Supplies while he lived in the Leavenworth/Lansing area. In 1971 Ron was hired by General Motors Security and moved his family to Basehor, Ks. He retired from General Motorsin1993.
Ron Married Gloria E. Hernandez on November 11,1962. They had three children together and divorced November, 30, 1979. Ron was a Lions Club Member from 1971-2024 and received the Melvin Jones Fellowship award Ron definitely holds the record for their annual pecan sales! He also enjoyed lawn work and participating in the Basehor Community Garden. Ron was an honorary member of the Basehor VFW. R on also was a member of the Basehor United Methodist Church.
Ron was preceeded in death by his parents; his sister Patsy White Bennet of Martinez, GA. Ron is survived by his brother, Bill Millbourn of Leavenworth Ks. His children; Connie Sanchez (Mark) of Lansing, Ks. Lee Milbourn of Versailles, Mo. Hank Milbourn (Kim) of Montrose Co.
Grandchildren; Kayla Sanchez of Rogers AR. Neal Sanchez of Leavenworth Ks. Rachel Milbourn of Montrose Co. DJ Milbourn of K ansas City, Ks. Zachary Milbourn of Olathe, Ks. Great Grandchildren; Carah, Vincent, and Silas.
A Memorial Service will be held on at Basehor United Methodist Church 18660 158t St. Basehor Ks. 66007 on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11 A.M.
