Rosemarie (Dierkens) Eskina, affectionately known as "Rosie", devoted wife to Leon J. Eskina, beloved mother to Steven A. Eskina (Susan), Michael L. Eskina (Nancy), Randall A. Eskina (Anna), Karen M. McCarthy (Paul), Leanna J. Marshall (Jeff), and Phyllis R. Eskina, passed away peacefully at 10:20 AM on November 22nd, 2024.

Rosie (a nickname she carried from birth) was born in Saspamco, Texas to Achiel and Hortense Dierkens, the youngest of nine children, on February 17th, 1936. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated from Texas to the East Bottoms area of Kansas City, Missouri. The family settled into the Belgian influenced neighborhood, with Rosie attending St. Francis Seraph Catholic Church and School, and after graduation going on to attend Cardinal Glennon High School, before taking a job at Sears, Roebuck, and Co. in Kansas City Missouri. She would later go on to work at Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator, finishing her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Rosie met and fell in love with Leon J. Eskina of Kansas City, Kansas and they were married at St. Francis Seraph Church on June 11th, 1955. Rosie was a devoted mother to her six children, all being her pride and joy. She always said having children changed her life for the better, and they felt her immense pride in the love and support she provided them all.

Rosie was preceded in death by Leon J. (Lee) Eskina, her husband of 38 years; her father and mother, Achiel and Hortense (Soetaert) Dierkens; and her eight siblings.

Rosie is survived by her six children, seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, who will never forget the love and care she brought to their lives.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, the 27th of November 2024 at Saint Patrick's Church, 1086 North 94th Street, Kansas City Kansas with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will be following the Mass at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1150 N. 38th Street, in Kansas City Kansas.  In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a Memorial Contribution to the:
