Sebastian A. Burgess, aged 50, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 14, 2024, while residing in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Born on May 20, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri, he lived a life characterized by devotion to his loved ones and a multitude of interests that brought joy to himself and others over the course of 50 years.
His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted partner of nearly three decades, Sunny Browning, their four children Ke'era Browning, Alesia Burgess, Ke 'Asia Burgess, and Sebastian A. Burgess Jr., siblings Arnetta Young (Gregory), Rochelle Burgess, Rocco King, James Burgess, bonus- mom Denise Browning as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to honor his legacy.
Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, John J. Burgess, Jr., and Juaque Y.Q. Burgess, as well as his sister, Yalanda King.
Sebastian enjoyed, listening to music, cooking, tinkering with electronics, playing basketball, exploring video games, and extending help to those in need. His sense of style was impeccable and often noted by those around him.
His life can be characterized by his unwavering loyalty, humor, enduring strength, and most importantly, his devotion to his role as a father.
Remembrance services for Sebastian A. Burgess will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel Inc in Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
The loss of Sebastian is felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. His spirit of generosity, kindness, and the loving memories he created will be treasured eternally. May his soul rest in peace.
