Sherley Ann (Rush) Baragary, age 92, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away on October 20, 2026. 

She was born in Lansing on October 20, 1934, to Ned and Josephine (Sherley) Rush. She was the beloved wife of Leo Francis Baragary and the heart of their family of eleven children. She graduated from Lansing High School in 1952. 

Sherley married Leo on June 11, 1955, beginning a life together grounded in faith, devotion, and a shared dedication to family. Throughout their years together, Sherley’s quiet strength and steady commitment shaped the heart of their home. Her legacy grew through the daily work of raising eleven children and creating a place where each one felt supported and loved. Her influence is reflected not only in her children, but in the generations that followed; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren who continue to grow on the foundation she so lovingly built.

 She is survived by ten children; Dennis Baragary Sr. (Mona), Jean Baragary, Mike Baragary (Cathy), JoAnn Barnwell (Keith), Phyllis Baragary, John Baragary, Ronnie Baragary, Mark Baragary, Mary Baragary and Brenda Baragary; seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great-children; brother Ed Rush and sister Loretta Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Baragary, son Dale Baragary and her infant children; James and Nancy.

 The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 A.M. on Friday, October 23, 2026 with a rosary at 9 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph of the Valley Church in Leavenworth, KS. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph of the Valley Church. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
