Shirley C. Clark , 77 , passed away on Sunday , March 5 , 2023 , in her home .

Shirley was born to Francis Marion McNett and Hazel Dell McNett ( Allen ) on December 17,1945 in Leavenworth Kansas . She grew up in Leavenworth and graduated from Leavenworth High School .

On June 9th , 1963 , a few short weeks after she graduated high school , she married the love of her life Walter Joel Clark ( " Joe " ) . Together they traveled the world while Joe was in the Marine Corps . They had one child , Danny. They were married until his passing in December 2009 .

Shirley enjoyed making people laugh . She also loved being social and would talk to everyone . She never knew a stranger . If she met one , they weren't strangers for long . People were drawn to her for her witty comments , sense of humor , her kind heart , her wisdom , and her shenanigans . Anyone new in her life bonded with her almost immediately .

Although she lived a long and eventful life , she was ready to move on to be with her other loved ones . She is proceeded in death by her husband Joe , her parents , both sisters ; Linda and Donna , her brother Tommy , many aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews , and cousins .

She is survived by her son Danny J. Clark , her daughter in law Rose Y. Burton ( Hasegawa ) , Granddaughters , Debra A. Bowden ( Clark ) and Heaven L. Clark , her grandson Jason Bowden , and her favorite grandson Monty J. Bowden , her fur baby Phoebe , many in laws , nieces , nephews , and cousins .

Memorial and Funeral Services will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel , in Leavenworth Kansas . The services will be held on March 21 , 2023 from 10 am . to noon. The funeral will follow immediately . In lieu of flowers , the family is asking to donate to Shirley's funeral expenses or the " Feed Phoebe the cat " fund . These can be donated directly to the funeral home or the family .
