Suzanne (Daugherty) Manthe passed away on May 16, 2024. Suzanne was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on March 28, 1936, to Wayne and Sue Daugherty.
Suzanne's family moved to Leavenworth in 1951 and Suzanne graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1954. She married Joseph H. Manthe Sr. on March 11, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2012. She worked for several agencies at Fort Leavenworth and retired as a Military Pay Supervisor in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Pat) Garrett, Joseph H. (Jennifer) Manthe Jr, Shirley (Rex) Walker, a sister Patricia Simms, 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and a special nephew Ronnie Miles.
Suzanne was a member of First Baptist Church in Leavenworth for many years.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on May 23 rd from 6:00-8:00 pm and funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church on May 24 th at 10:00. The burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service.
