Obituary

Sylvia Hall, 86 passed away October 16, 2026.

Sylvia was a strong positive influence in the lives of everyone she knew especially her children and grandchildren. She drove the school bus where she enforced strict discipline but was adored by the students. She met many of her closest friends during that time. She worked as a volunteer at the nursing home where she read and played games with the residents. Her eight grandchildren have fond memories of playing in the creek with her on warm summer afternoons and playing outdoor games in the yard. She sent thoughtfully written birthday and holiday cards to all her family, extended family and friends. She sent a bag of cookies for each of the hunters on Rob’s many hunting trips. She loved any kind of game including board games, dice, cards and Scrabble and she was impossible to beat in any game that required skill or strategy.

Sylvia Hartman was born in Cambridge, Wisconsin on March 21, 1940. Sylvia married Bob Hall on June 19,1957, after meeting him at the skating rink in Leavenworth, Kansas the year before. She was happily married to Bob until his passing in June 2025. She remained on their farm in Lansing where they had raised their family. Sylvia and Bob are now together forever.

Sylvia is survived by Rob Hall (Sandy, deceased), daughter Lori Hickey (Ed) and daughter Staci Barthol (Bryan).

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
