Thelma Jean (Dutton) Morisse, Richfield, Kansas, age 91, passed away on 8 June 2022, in Leavenworth, KS after a short illness.  She was born on a farm near Kingman, KS on 3 November 1930.  On 23 May 1948, she married Bernard Lee Morisse.  Together they had four children, Judith, Kenton, Steven and Lindsey.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lee Morisse, son, Kenton and her grandson, Levi.  She is survived by her children, daughter, Judith; sons, Steven (wife, Diana) and Lindsey (wife, Cheryl); 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her remaining sibling, Eugene Dutton of Kingman, Kansas. Thelma Jean will be remembered for her unfailing kindness and as someone who loved and was devoted to her family. She taught 4-H cooking and sewing classes, was a 4-H leader and remained involved in her community and church throughout her life. Thelma Jean was an excellent seamstress and was renowned for her excellent cooking skills, winning many ribbons at the county and state fairs. She was loved by her children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends and eagerly looked forward to their birthday phone calls. She fondly remembered the many family fishing and camping trips and family gatherings. Family services will be held the Elkhart, Kansas cemetery.
