Retired Major Thomas Edward Eccleston, 68 of Lansing, KS, passed away on February 9, 2021 at his home.

Born July 26, 1952 in Hinsdale, IL to Clarence E. Eccleston and Patricia A. Eccleston (Moellering) of Clarendon Hills, IL. Survived by siblings Wesley W. Eccleston, Sandra S. Rogowski (Jeff), Michael S. Eccleston (Esther), Christopher J. Eccleston (Kristin), his partner Lamont Mosby, and many nephews and nieces.

Tom was a graduate of Hinsdale South HS and West Point Military Academy where he received a B.S. in Engineering. After graduation he went on to have a 20-year career in the U.S. Army. He was also a life member of V.F.W. post 2801.Tom's love of sports led him to become a college official where he made numerous friends and impacted the life of many.

Over his long military career, he lived in many places across the world, but he chose to call Lansing his home.

Visitation will be held on February 26, 2021 from 10 AM - 12 PM with services to follow at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS. Interment will be 9 AM, Monday, March 1, 2021 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
