Victor Nicholas "Nicky" "Yogi" Ybarra, 77, of Fort Dodge, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Andover, Kansas.  He was born on November 1, 1948, in Wellington, Kansas, to John and Jessie Ybarra (Cruz) and graduated from Wellington High School.

Victor was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968, proudly served in the Vietnam War, and deployed to various military assignments in Europe.  During his 39 years of service, he earned the Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Expert M-16 qualification, retiring with the rank of Sergeant Major (E-9).

Victor was a Master Upholstery and instructor at WyoTech, Laramie, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jessie "Mama Chuy"  Ybarra; brother, Dolphie Ybarra; daughter Jessica Ybarra; and great-granddaughter, Raegan Ware.  He is survived by his Children: Chastity Ybarra of Olathe, KS, Victor (Kyra) Ybarra of Mission, KS, and KC Ybarra of Leawood, KS; siblings: Geraldo Ybarra of Wellington, KS and Susan Carrillo (Ybarra) of Wichita, KS; grandchildren: Kiara, Jessica, Jaden, Alex, Brayden, and Elijah; great-grandson: Rayce, Jettsyn, Emmett, Ezequiel, and Krue; nephews: Michael Ybarra, Bucky Ybarra, and Anthony Ybarra; niece: Melina Martinez (Ybarra); and multiple nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Services will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lansing, Kansas on Friday November 21, 2025 at noon, with burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Lansing, KS following the service.
