William "Mike"
Blankenship
Jan 10, 1961 — Nov 5, 2022
Platte City
William "Mike" Blankenship went to be with the Lord November 5, with his family by his side. Mike was born January 10, 1961, to Doris Richardson and David Winkler. He was raised in Farley, MO on the farm that he loved by his Grandma and Grandpa "Pigs" Blankenship. He spent his days playing on the farm and working the fields, until it was taken from him. Mike met his first love Cecilia "Ceil" in their teenager years and they remained married until her passing in 2008. She took his hand and led him with her to Heaven. He is also proceeded in death by his parents John and Marjorie Blankenship and his father David Winkler. Mike is survived by his last love Peggy "my girlfriend" Anderson who was by his side until the end. He is also survived by his baby girl Nida (Roger), his boy William/Mighty (Jamie), his bonus daughter Megan (Jared) and his bonus son David, his pride, and joys- his grandchildren, Alexus, Kaylynd, Jaelyn, Cheyenne, John and Josie, and his most prized loves, his great grand babies, Kacey J, Jaisada, Nolan, Wyatt and Chloe. Additional survivors include his mother Doris, brothers Wayne and David, and sister Laurie. Mike didn't know a stranger and was loved by everyone. There wasn't a engine he couldn't work on or fix, a person he wouldn't help if he could, a tractor he didn't love (except John Deere). He was had a joke or story to tell and would find a way to make you laugh no matter how rough his day was. He was ornery, a hard worker, loyal, and all around amazing. The world is a bit darker without him, but Heaven is definitely brighter. Visitation will be held November 8 th , at Davis's Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-6 for family, friends may come from 6-8pm. There will be a graveside service and a celebration of life a bit later. Donations may be made in his honor to the family. Give Heaven some Hell old man.
