William "Bill" David Dickinson, 45, passed away 20 September 2024, in Leavenworth, KS.
He was born 18 October 1978, to Charles and Linda Dickinson, Springfield, MO.
Bill attended Glendale High School and graduate in 1997, he graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor of Arts in Management of Information Systems on December 2001.
Bill married Crystal (Shipley) Dickinson, 11 August 2001, at Ottawa University Chapel, Ottawa, KS.
Bill entered into the delayed entry program June 2001, and completed Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, SC in 2002. He served as an Information Management Technician.
Bill's life was a testament to the power of devotion and community. As a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, and colleague, he nurtured connections through shared activities and passions. His leadership extended from his career to co-head coaching two baseball teams for his younger children. He brought people together creating cherished moments and memories. Bill's kitchen was the hub of unforgettable flavors with his legendary chocolate chip pancakes or butterscotch pancakes made on a Saturday morning, and inventive barbecue recipes fostered many memories that came from the heart. When Bill had spare time, he enjoyed outdoor activities such as golfing, camping, gardening, and yard work. Far and wide, Bill's enthusiasm and creativity ignited smiles and forged lasting bonds. Bill enjoyed watching the Chief's football game with family and friends
Bill was preceded in death by his Uncle: Thomas Dickinson, Grandparents: Cecil and Christine Dickinson, Myrl and Fern Sallee, Father-In-Law: Clifton Shipley Jr.
Bill is survived by his spouse: Crystal Dickinson (Leavenworth, KS), Children: Hannah Dickinson (Lawrence, KS), Haleigh Dickinson (Leavenworth, KS), Caleb Dickinson (Leavenworth, KS), Lillian Dickinson (Leavenworth, KS). Parents: Charles and Linda Dickinson (Springfield, MO). Brother: Andrew (Kellie) Dickinson (Crimora, VA), 3 Nephews, 2 Nieces, 1 Great Niece, 1 Cousin, Mother-In-Law: Tameria Shipley (Ottawa, KS), Sister-In-Law: Angela Folsom (Jason) (Osawatomie, KS), Brother-In-Law: Adam Shipley.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family for his children's college funds.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 2 October 2024, from 4-6 pm at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be held on Thursday, 3 October 2024, at 11 am at Davis Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
