William "Billy" M. McNabb, III, 64, of Leavenworth Ks, passed away on October 25, 2021.

He was born on May 8, 1957 in Dayton Ohio as the son of William and Virginia (Leis) McNabb. He was raised and lived most of his younger years in Middletown Ohio, before joining the US Army in 1975 as a motor transport operator. After his time in the military he would eventually move to Kansas where he made this state his home.

Known and loved by many as "Billy" he was always a character to be around. All who knew him would always say he was such a caring, kind-hearted, and funny man. Amongst many things he loved sharing stories of his past, talking about cars, fishing, and most importantly his family.

Although our hearts are broken knowing we will no longer be able to see his ornery smile we are at peace knowing he is in heaven with the loved ones he missed so much.

Proceeded in death by both parents as well as his sisters Edith Cain and Rita Abner.

Survived by his biggest accomplishment of life his son Eric McNabb (Lauren), grandchildren Hannah and Kamari of Leavenworth, Billy's three step children, Daniel, Lisa and Dennis, sister Diana Harrison, half sisters Christy Naylor and Sandra Cottrill, half brother Bryan McNabb and his life long best friend Ronnie Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Davis Funeral Chapel or Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty both of Leavenworth.

An interment will be held at the Leavenworth National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 2:30 PM.
