Matthew (Matt) James Smith,34, passed away August 16, 2020.

He was born on June 23, 1986 in Danbury, Connecticut to Mary Smith and Arthur Smith. Matt was one of four children, his siblings are Adam, Kris and Sarah.

Matt was a Master Carpenter at Acumen Renovations in Kansas City Kansas.

Matt enjoyed spending time with his kids, working on vehicles, riding his motorcycle, helping people with restorations on their homes, loved playing basketball, going to concerts and sporting events, going to the lake, going out to the bars with friends and he enjoyed a good joint.

Matthew is survived by his two children, Maya Smith (Kansas City, KS) and Matthew James Smith Jr.(Tonganoxie, KS), his parents, Mary Smith (Phoenix, AZ) and Arthur Smith (Leavenworth, KS), two brothers, Adam Smith (New Milford, CT), Kris Smith (Downingtown, PA), one sister Sarah (Smith) Phillips (Gilbert, AZ), four nieces, Carolyn Smith (Downingtown, PA), Abby Smith (Downingtown, PA), Kelsy Smith(Downingtown, PA), and  Marlie Phillips (Gilbert, AZ), two nephews, Lincoln Phillips (Gilbert, AZ) and Justin Phillips (Gilbert, AZ).

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 11:00 A.m. to 1:00 P.M. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Chapel.
